Q:  What sports does CAA offer?
A:  T-Ball, Baseball, 15&Up Slow-Pitch Church League Softball, Outdoor Soccer, Co-Ed Indoor Soccer, Co-Ed Floor Hockey, 14&Up Pick-Up Volleyball, & 11-16 Co-Ed Basketball Clinic.


Q:  What are the age groups?
A:  The age groups within a sport vary each year depending on the actual amount of registrants. [Below reflects 2012 age groups]

T-Ball: 5-6
Baseball: 7-12
Slow Pitch Softball: 15 - Adult
Outdoor Soccer:
   Clinic – 4-6
   Boys – 7-16
   Girls – 7-20
   Men – 17-29
   Men - 30+
Co-Ed Indoor Soccer: 5 - Adult
Co-Ed Floor Hockey: 6 - Adult
Co-Ed Volleyball: 14 - Adult


Q:  When and where is registration?
A:  All sports registrations are mailed to families and are available to download from the CAA webpage at the beginning of the registration period. CAA also offers online registration through Active.com

Approximate Time of Open Registration:
Baseball, Softball & T-Ball – Beginning of February
Outdoor Soccer – End of June
Indoor Soccer – Beginning of October
Floor Hockey – December
Basketball Clinic - Quarterly (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter)
Volleyball - Quarterly (Spring Summer, Fall, Winter)


Q:  How much does it cost to register for a sport?
A:  Early-bird registration is $70/child with a $200.00 family max. Regular registration is $80.00/child with a $230.00 family max. All children are required to participate in the designated fundraiser unless the $20 fundraiser exemption fee/child ($40.00 family max) is paid at time of registration.


Q:  How do I become a coach, referee or umpire?
A:  When registering for a sport, check off the corresponding volunteer position and you will be contacted regarding training.  Each person serving in these positions is required to sign a leadership covenant declaring the Christian faith, attend mandatory coaching meetings, & complete a reference form.


Q:  Do I have to be a Christian to be on a CAA team?
A:  No, CAA welcomes any child to the organization, regardless of religious affiliation.  As noted above, any coaches, umpires, or referees are required to sign a leadership covenant.

Q:  What is CAA’s Capital Campaign?
A:  To fulfill CAA’s mission, the Capital Campaign has been launched to fund growth in the following four areas: building an indoor facility, purchasing land for outdoor facilities, renovating existing facilities, and developing satellite CAA programs.  For more information on the capital campaign please contact the CAA Office.  The office contact information is at the following link:  http://www.caayouthsports.org/contact/contact.htm.

Once you have registered for a sport, you will be added to CAA’s mailing list and receive information about all upcoming events.  If you wish to be added to the mailing list, please contact the office.


Q:  What type of league play options does CAA offer?
A:  CAA offers traditional rec league play as well as travel leagues and Advance Development Leagues for select sports and age groups.


Q:  How do I find out about summer camps?
A:  (2012) Christian Athletic Association is pleased to announce a year of soccer camp partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA's most popular soccer camp program - British Soccer Camps. All camps feature: all British Coaching Staff, free Camp T-Shirt, free Soccer Ball, free Soccer Poster, individual skills evaluation, new 1,000 touches camp curriculum and daily world cup tournament. There are 6 sessions to choose from. Our 2012 CAA British Soccer Camp is open to ages 3-16.  Our 2012 Soccer Camp will run August 6-10th, 2012. Click here for more information.


Q:  What is the Homeschool PE program?
A:  There are three Homeschool PE sessions offered during the year: fall, winter and spring.  Registration information will be available in August.  You can register for all three sessions, or individual sessions.  The current 2011-2012 fees are as follows:

$70.00 per student/session ($190.00/yr*)
$140 for 2 family members/session ($380.00/yr*)
$200.00 max-family fee/session-($540.00/yr*)
*-yearly rate fee needs to be paid in full no later than September 8th for discount to be applied.

Classes available for grades as follows for the 2011-2012 school year:

Class A: K-4th Grades (Ages 5-9)  9:30am Thursdays
Class B: 5th-12th Grades (Ages 10-17)  10:40am Thursdays
